White or Black Areas Print in Regular Pattern Troubleshooting Probable Causes The laser lens is dirty. Foreign Material in the paper path. One or more of the imaging units may be defective. Solutions Clean the laser lens. Inspect the paper path and remove any foreign material. Remove the imaging units one at a time, and check for damage. If it is damaged, replace it. Image Prints with Defects Probable Causes A toner cartridge may be defective. The imaging unit may be defective. Solutions Remove the toner cartridge with the color causing the abnormal image.
