14 Glossary Driver Ethernet FTP Gateway Address HTTP IEEE IP IP Address IPP IPX LAN LPD NDS Software that is loaded on the client workstation that prepares data to be sent to the machine. An application protocol, part of the TCP/IP protocol stack, used for transferring files between network nodes. Driver
Software that is loaded on the client workstation that prepares
data to be sent to the machine.
Ethernet
Network transport technology commonly used to send data
from one network node to another.
FTP
An abbreviation of File Transfer Protocol. An application
protocol, part of the TCP/IP protocol stack, used for
transferring files between network nodes.
Gateway Address
The Gateway Address is the IP Address of the gateway, or
