Obtain and record the following information, if required: • IP address • Gateway address • Subnet mask • Host name Refer to the glossary for additional information about the Gateway Address and Subnet mask, if needed. Test the machine to make sure that it is installed fully and functioning correctly. Information Checklist
Before installing the machine onto a network, make sure that the following items are
available or have been performed.
If problems arise during the machine installation, refer to
Problem Solving chapter
for
assistance.
CAUTION: Do not connect the network cable to the machine until instructed to
do so.
