Figure 5-83 Routing Protocol Tab on the C6576M OSM Serial Subinterface Dialog Box OSPF Area The OSPF area of the C6576M OSM POS Interface dialog box provides the following information. All the attributes in this area are read-only. • Network Type-OSPF interface type. By default, a POS interface is point-to-point, however, the OSPF network type may be modified to accommodate different types of network configurations. This attribute has one of the following values: - broadcast - nbma - pointToPoint - pointToMultipoint • Area ID-The predefined ID uniquely identifying the area to which the interface connects. It can be specified as either a decimal value or as an IP address. Value is 0.0.0.0 if the interface is a Layer 2 (no IP address assigned) interface. This attribute is read-only. • Authentication Key-Password to be used by neighboring OSPF routers on a network segment that is using OSPF simple password authentication. Ignored if Authentication Type is not "simple". • Hello Interval (sec)-Frequency at which the device will send hello packets on the specified interface and EIGRP autonomous system number. 5-160 Cisco 6500/7600 Series Manager User Guide
