Chapter 6 Logical Object Dialog Boxes C6576M STP Dialog Box C6576M STP Dialog Box The C6576M STP dialog box provides information on the global Spanning Tree Protocol configuration on a managed Catalyst 6000 family switch or Cisco 7600 series Internet Router. This dialog box is launched from the Software object or STP object in the Physical view. Details Tab Figure 6-86 shows the Details tab of the C6576M STP dialog box. Figure 6-86 Details Tab of C6576M STP Dialog Box Details Area The Details area of the C6576M STP dialog box provides the following information: • BackboneFast Enabled-Indicates whether or not the BackboneFast capability is enabled on the device. Applies to all STP instances running on the device. • UplinkFast Enabled-Indicates whether or not the UplinkFast capability is enabled on the device. Applies to all STP instances running on the device. • PortFast BPDU Guard Enabled-Indicates whether or not the PortFast BPDU guard is enabled on the device. Applies to all STP instances running on the device. • STP Cost Mode-Indicates the type of spanning tree path cost mode configured on the device. Applies to all STP instances running on the device. When the value is changed, the path cost of all ports will be reassigned to the default path cost values based on the new spanning tree path cost mode and ports' speed.
