Parameter Description Interface Name This field displays the name for the IP interface or is used to add a new interface or change an existing interface name. Automatic Link Local Address Link-local Address Global Unicast Address VLAN Name Interface Admin State DHCPv6 Client State IPv6 Address NS Retransmit Time Use this pull-down menu to enable or disable this feature. When enabled, the switch will automatically create an IPv6 link-local address for the switch. Once the user enables this feature and clicks Apply, an IPv6 address will be produced based on the MAC address of the switch and the new entry will appear in the following Link-Local Address field. This field displays the IPv6 address created automatically by the Switch, based on the MAC Address of the Switch. This is a site local address used only for local routing. This field is the unicast address that will be used by the Switch for packets coming from outside the site-local address, or the public IPv6 address, when connected directly to the Internet. This field states the VLAN Name directly associated with this interface and may be modified by entering a new pre-configured VLAN Name. Use the pull-down menu to enable or disable configuration on this interface. Use the pull-down menu to enable or disable configuration on this interface.
