Proceed to Step 2-Installing the J-SRX100 Services Gateway in a Non-Telco Rack. Step 1 - Attaching/Installing the Cage Nuts to the Non-Telco Rack Using a Flat-Blade Screwdriver (Method 2) To install the cage nuts using a flat-blade screwdriver: a. Locate the slot on the rack where you want to mount the device. b. Hold the cage nut in one hand, and compress the cage-nut clip with a flat-blade screwdriver. c. With the clip compressed, push the edge of the cage nut fully into the slot from the inside of the rack-mounting flange. d. Release the screwdriver pressure on the clip to lock the cage nut into place as shown in Figure 9 on page 44. Figure 9: Installing a Cage Nut Using a Flat-Blade Screwdriver e.
