If you select Connected directly to this computer (a "direct connection" using a parallel cable or universal serial bus cable), clicking Next takes you to the Connection Type dialog box, and then to the Model dialog box. This is the default option. If you select Connected via the network, clicking Next takes you to the Network Setup dialog box.
