Configuring for Network Management Applications LLDP (Link-Layer Discovery Protocol) Displaying Switch Information Available for Outbound Advertisements These commands display the current switch information that will be used to populate outbound LLDP advertisements. Syntax show lldp info local-device [ port-list ] Without the [ port-list ] option, this command displays the global switch information and the per-port information currently available for populating outbound LLDP advertisements. With the [ port-list ] option, this command displays only the following port-specific information that is currently available for outbound LLDP advertisements on the specified ports: • PortType • PortId • PortDesc Note: This command displays the information available on the switch. Use the lldp config < port-list > command to change the selection of information that is included in actual outbound advertisements. In the default LLDP configuration, all information displayed by this command is transmitted in outbound advertisements. For example, in the default configuration, the switch information currently available for outbound LLDP advertisements appears similar to the display in Figure 13-18 on page 13-70. 13-69
