About Your Printer Getting to Know the Printer Behind the Front Cover The front cover is located below the Control Panel, as shown in Figure 1-4. When you open it, you find the following: • PC card slot: Used only for support testing, and covered with a rubber protective cap. • Serial diagnostic port: Used only for testing. • Floppy disk drive: Used for updating printer functions and installing the PostScript upgrade.
