Caution and Warnings A Caution denotes a hazard. It calls attention to a procedure which, if done incorrectly or inattentively, could damage or destroy part or all of the product. Do not proceed beyond a Caution until the indicated conditions are fully understood and met. A WARNING denotes a hazard. It calls attention to a procedure or practice, which, if not done correctly or adhered to, could result in personal injury. Do not proceed beyond a WARNING sign until the indicated conditions are fully understood and met. Manual Conventions The following conventions are used in this manual: Note Notes contain important information set off from the text. Caution Caution messages indicate procedures which, if not observed, could result in damage to equipment. WARNING! Warning messages call attention to situations that could result in personal injury. Printer Warning Symbols In addition, the following Warning symbols appear on the printer: WARNING! This symbol indicates high voltage is present. Do not remove or open any panel marked with this symbol. WARNING HOT! This symbol indicates high temperatures may be present that could result in burns or other high-temperature hazards. iv
