Microprocessor removal Complete the following steps to remove a microprocessor. Note: v Read "Installation guidelines" on page 11. v Read Appendix B, "Safety information," on page 153. v Read "Handling static-sensitive devices" on page 12. 1. Turn off the server and disconnect all power cords and external cables; then, remove the server cover (see "Removing the left-side cover" on page 14). 2. Remove the air-baffle. Air-baffle assembly Note: It might be easier to turn the server on its side to remove the air baffle and access the microprocessors. 3.
