If the blade server is installed in a BladeCenter unit, remove it (see "Removing the blade server from the BladeCenter unit" on page 33 for instructions). 3. Remove the blade server cover (see "Removing the blade server cover" on page 35 for instructions). 4. Rotate the extraction lever upward to disengage the blade server expansion connector. 5. Pivot the narrow end of the card away from the blade server expansion connector; then, slide the slots at the back end of the card out of the expansion-card standoffs and lift the card out of the blade server. 6. If you are instructed to return the expansion card, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
