Chapter 9 Replacing Consumable Products 9 9 Precautions During Replacement 9 Always observe the following handling precautions when replacing consumable products: 9 ❏ Provide enough space for the replacement procedure. You will have to open some parts (such as the printer cover) of the printer when you are replacing consumables. 9 ❏ Do not install used consumable products into the printer. 9 Warning: w ❏ Be careful not to touch the fuser, which is marked CAUTION 9 Hot Surface, or the surrounding areas. If the printer has been in use, the fuser and surrounding areas may be very hot. 9 ❏ Do not dispose of used consumable products in fire, as they may explode and cause injury. Dispose of them according to local regulations. 9 Developer Cartridge 9 The two types of developer cartridges are as follows: ❏ The developer cartridge (S050166) that prints up to 6,000 9 pages. This cartridge can only be used with the EPL-6200. ❏ The developer cartridge (S050167) that prints up to 3,000 9 pages. Replacing Consumable Products 319
