DGS-1250 Series Gigabit Ethernet Smart Managed Switch Web UI Reference Guide SNMP Engine ID Local Settings The Engine ID is a unique identifier used for SNMPv3 implementations on the Switch. To view the following window, click Management > SNMP > SNMP Engine ID Local Settings, as shown below: Figure 4-8 SNMP Engine ID Local Settings Window The fields that can be configured are described below: Parameter Engine ID Description Enter the SNMP engine ID string here. This string can be up to 24 characters long. Click the Default button to revert the engine ID to the default. Click the Apply button to accept the changes made. SNMP User Table Settings This window is used to display and configure the SNMP users that are currently configured on the Switch. To view the following window, click Management > SNMP > SNMP User Table Settings, as shown below: Figure 4-9 SNMP User Table Settings Window The fields that can be configured are described below: Parameter User Name Group Name Description Enter SNMP user name here. This name can be up to 32 characters long. This is used to identify the SNMP user. Enter the SNMP group name to which the user belongs. This name can be up to 32 characters long.
