DGS-1250 Series Gigabit Ethernet Smart Managed Switch Web UI Reference Guide The fields that can be configured are described below: Parameter DHCPv6 Local Relay VID List State Description Enter the DHCPv6 local relay VLAN ID(s) here. More than one VLAN ID can be entered here. Select the All VLANs option to apply this setting on all configured VLANs on this Switch. Select to enable or disable the DHCPv6 local relay feature on the specified VLAN(s) here. Click the Apply button to accept the changes made. DHCP Auto Configuration This window is used to display and configure the DHCP auto-configuration function. To view the following window, click Management > DHCP Auto Configuration, as shown below: Figure 4-38 DHCP Auto Configuration Window The fields that can be configured are described below: Parameter Auto Configuration State Description Select this option to enable or disable the auto-configuration function. Click the Apply button to accept the changes made. DNS The Domain Name System (DNS) is used to map human-readable domain names to the IP addresses used by computers to communicate. A DNS server performs name-to-address translation, and may need to contact several name servers to translate a domain to an address. The address of the machine that supplies domain name service is often supplied by a DHCP or BOOTP server, or can be entered manually and configured into the operating system at startup. DNS Global Settings This window is used to display and configure the global DNS settings. To view the following window, click Management > DNS > DNS Global Settings, as shown below: Figure 4-39 DNS Global Settings Window 62
