Click the Apply button to accept the changes made. The fields that can be configured in RIPng Settings are described below: Parameter Default Metric Distance Update Timer Invalid Timer Flush Timer Description Enter the default metric value here. The range is from 1 to 16. This value is used to specify the default metric for routes redistributed from other routing protocols. If the routes being redistributed are learned from other protocols, then they have an incompatible metric with IPv6 RIP. Re-specifying of metric allows the metric to be synced. Select the Default option to use the default metric value, which is 0. Enter the administrative distance for RIPng here. The range is from 1 to 254. The distance value represents the trust rating of the route. The route with a lower distance value is preferred over the route with the higher distance value. Select the Default option to use the default administrative distance for RIPng, which is 120. Enter the update interval value at which the update message is sent here. The range is from 5 to 65535 seconds. Select the Default option to use the default value here which is 30 seconds. Enter the invalidate timer value in seconds here. The range is from 1 to 65535 seconds. Select the Default option to use the default value here which is 180 seconds. Enter the flush timer value in seconds here. The range is from 1 to 65535 seconds. Select the Default option to use the default value here which is 120 seconds. 267
