3 Press the button on the front of the drive carrier to release the carrier handle. See Figure 3-7. 4 Rotate the carrier handle to extract the drive from the bay. 5 Slide the hard drive out until it is free of the drive bay. 6 Remove the four screws that secure the hard drive to the hard-drive carrier. 7 Remove the hard drive from the carrier. 8 Insert a drive blank in the vacated drive bay. See "Installing a Drive Blank in the Front Bay" on page 94. CAUTION: To maintain proper system cooling, all empty hard-drive bays must have drive blanks installed. Figure 3-7. Press the button on the front of the drive carrier to release the carrier
handle. See Figure 3-7.

Rotate the carrier handle to extract the drive from the bay.

Slide the hard drive out until it is free of the drive bay.

Remove the four screws that secure the hard drive to the hard-drive carrier.

Remove the hard drive from the carrier.

Insert a drive blank in the vacated drive bay. See "Installing a Drive Blank
in the Front Bay" on page 94.
CAUTION:
To maintain proper system cooling, all empty hard-drive bays must
have drive blanks installed.
