The OS10 Telnet server uses the Debian telnetd package. By default, the Telnet server is disabled. When the Telnet server is enabled, connect to the switch using the IP address configured on the management or any front-panel port. The Telnet server configuration is persistent and is maintained after you reload the switch. To verify the Telnet server configuration, enter the show running-configuration command. Enable Telnet server OS10(config)# ip telnet server enable Disable Telnet server OS10(config)# no ip telnet server enable By default, the Telnet server is enabled on the default VRF. To configure the Telnet server to be reachable on the management VRF, use the ip telnet server vrf management command.
