Ink Cartridge Safety First Aid Measures If ink is ingested accidentally, contact the HP Health Line 1 (800) 457-4209 in North America or 1 (503) 494-7199 for all other international locations. This health line is operational 24 hours a day. Skin Wash affected areas thoroughly with soap and water. Eye Immediately flush with large amount of clean, lukewarm water (low pressure) for at least 15 minutes. Oral Color Seek medical attention for accidental ingestion of nitrates. Note to Medical Professionals: Treat symptomatically for nitrate related toxicity (methemoglobinemia). The technical literature indicates administration of 1 to 2 mg/kg of 1% methylene blue slowly by IV if the patient is cyanotic and symptomatic or the methemoglobin level is greater than 30% in an asymptomatic patient. Additional doses may be required. Inhalation Black Wash affected areas thoroughly with soap and water. Remove to fresh air. Skin
Wash affected areas thoroughly with soap and water.
Eye
Immediately flush with large amount of clean, lukewarm
water (low pressure) for at least 15 minutes.
Oral
Color
Seek medical attention for accidental ingestion of
