Enter a name, data protection level, size, and provisioning type for the volume. 2. Click Finish. After a few minutes, a summary window opens, listing details of the new management group, cluster, and volume. 3. Click Close. 4. A message opens notifying you that you must register. This registration is required to use advanced features such as multi-system clusters and Remote Copy. For more information about registering advanced features, see Chapter 18 on page 289. 5. Click OK. The navigation window displays the new management group, cluster with storage systems, and volumes. 6. As a last step, back up the configuration data of the entire management group. See "Backing up a management group configuration" on page 160. Management group map view tab After you create the management group and finish setting up the SAN, use the Map View tab for viewing the relationships between servers, sites, clusters, volumes, snapshots, and remote copies in the management group. See Table 34 on page 148 for the default manager configurations. After you have finished creating the management group, be certain to reconfigure managers as necessary to optimize your particular SAN configuration. For more information about managers, see "Managers overview" on page 149.
