Select the storage system in the navigation window. Usually you will be logged in automatically. However, you will have to log in manually for any storage systems running a software version earlier than release 7.0. If you do need to manually log in, the Log In window opens. 2. Type a user name and password. 3. Click Log In. Logging in to and out of storage systems You must log in to a management group to perform any tasks in that group. Logging into the management group automatically logs you into the storage systems in that group. You can log out of individual storage systems in the management group, and log back in to them individually. Automatic login Once you have logged in to a management group, additional log ins are automatic if the same user names and passwords are assigned. If management groups have different user names or passwords, then the automatic log in fails. In that case you must log in manually. 1. Type the correct user name and password. 2. Click Log In. Logging out of a storage system 1. Select a storage system in the navigation window. 2. Right-click, and select Log Out. NOTE: If you are logged in to multiple storage systems, you must log out of each storage system individually. Changing the storage system hostname The storage system arrives configured with a default hostname. Use these steps to change the hostname of a storage system. 1. In the navigation window, log in to the storage system. 2. On the Details tab, click Storage System Tasks and select Edit Hostname. 3. Type the new name, and click OK. 4. Working with the storage system

After finding all the storage systems on the network, you configure each storage system individually.

Select the storage system in the navigation window.

Usually you will be logged in automatically. However, you will have to log in manually for any

storage systems running a software version earlier than release 7.0. If you do need to manually

Logging in to and out of storage systems

You must log in to a management group to perform any tasks in that group. Logging into the
