4. In the Storage section, right-click the datastore icon and select Browse Datastore. 5. Right-click the FailoverMgr.vmx file and select Add to Inventory. 6. In the Inventory panel, select the new Failover Manager, and power it on using the Power On command on the Information panel. 2. Click the Console tab, and wait for the Failover Manager to boot. 3. When the Failover Manager has finished booting, a login prompt opens. 4. Log in, and use the SAN/iQ Configuration Interface to configure an IP address and host name for the Failover Manager. Setting the IP address Use the Configuration Interface to set the IP address for the Failover Manager. 1. Type start and press Enter. 2. Press Enter to log in. 3. Tab to Network TCP/IP Settings, and press Enter. 4. Tab to the network interface, and press Enter. 5. Tab to the Hostname field if necessary. 6. Press Backspace in the Hostname field to delete the default name, and enter your own host name. This host name appears in the CMC.
