Chapter 2 - Using the CK30 Handheld Computers Physical Inventory You can use the Physical Inv. option for both cycle counting and physical inventory. For a complete overview of the steps required for a physical inventory in Great Plains, on the CK30, and in Data Collection Manager, see Appendix A, "Conducting a Physical Inventory." Here is an overview of a typical physical inventory with the CK30: 1 Using Great Plains Stock Count Schedule, a stock count is created using specified criteria. The stock count is started. 2 Log into the CK30. 3 Select Physical Inv. from the Main Menu by typing 3 and pressing Enter. 4 Enter the Stock Count ID and the Site ID. 5 To count each item for the stock count, scan the item bar code and type the quantity counted. 6 After the items have been scanned, the counted quantities are captured in the Great Plains stock count. 7 When the stock count is finished, it can be edited and processed as a variance in Great Plains. 8 Use Verify Phys Count in the DCM to complete a full physical inventory.
