Chapter 4 - Using the EasyADC Console You can customize two aspects of the Console update feature: • You can adjust the time interval between updates, from 5 minutes to 60 minutes. • You can specify that EasyADC should also search for new devices that have been added to the network. To change the time interval and/or find new devices 1 If you are planning to configure EasyADC to search for new devices, you must first make sure that the Network Security Level is set to Min. For help, see "Configuring the Network Security Level" on page 70. Note: When the Network Security Level is set to Max, no new devices can be added to the EasyADC system. 2 Right-click the Console icon and choose Configure > EasyADC Console from the menu. The EasyADC Console Configuration screen appears. 3 Click the Updates tab. 4 To adjust the time interval, drag the indicator to the correct position along the timeline. 5 To configure EasyADC to search for new devices, select the Discover and Update radio button. 6 Click OK. Choosing Another Device Network to Monitor If you are using the Monitoring installation of EasyADC, you can choose which device network to monitor. Intermec recommends that you do not change these settings in most EasyADC systems. To choose another device network 1 Right-click the Console icon and choose Configure > EasyADC Console from the menu. The EasyADC Console Configuration screen appears. 2 Click the My Server tab. 3 Enter the address of the server for the other device network you want to monitor into the Server Address field. 4 Click OK.
