Note 1 Cleaning the optional ADF Use the Feeder Cleaning function for automatic cleaning of the optional ADF's feed rollers when they become stained. Black streaks may appear on the original when making copies using the optional ADF. If this happens, clean the rollers by feeding blank sheets of copy media through the rollers to wipe off any stains. Also, if color originals do not feed smoothly, clean the rollers. The optional ADF components can also be cleaned. For more information on how to clean the optional ADF, see page 300. The cleaning process will take approximately 16 seconds. To clean the optional ADF 1 Press the ADMINISTRATION FUNCTIONS key, and select ADJUSTMENT/CLEANING. 2 Press FEEDER CLEANING in the Adjustment/Cleaning screen.
