Shooting with the FE Lock Still Images Movies Just as with the AE lock (=78), you can lock the exposure for flash shots. 1 Raise the flash and set it to [ ] (= 91). 2 Lock the flash exposure. zzAim the camera at the subject to shoot with the exposure locked. With the shutter button pressed halfway, press the [ ] button. zzThe flash fires, and when [ ] is displayed, the flash output level is retained. zzTo unlock FE, release the shutter button and press the [ ] button again. In this case, [ ] is no longer displayed. 3 Compose the shot and shoot. zzAfter one shot, FE is unlocked and [ ] is no longer displayed. ●● FE: Flash Exposure Changing the Flash Timing Still Images Change the timing of the flash and shutter release as follows. Movies 1 Access the setting screen. zzPress the [ ] button, choose [Flash Control] on the [ 5] tab, and then press the [ ] button (=31). 2 Configure the setting. zzChoose [Shutter Sync.], and then choose the desired option (=31). 1stcurtain 2ndcurtain The flash fires immediately after the shutter opens. The flash fires immediately before the shutter closes.
