The PowerConnect B-DCX-4S must be configured before it is connected to the fabric, and all of the configuration commands must be entered through the active CP blade. The PowerConnect B-DCX-4S configuration includes the following parameters: • IP address and subnet mask for the chassis • IP addresses, host names, subnet masks, and gateway addresses for both CP blades • Switch name • Domain ID (optional) • WWN (optional) The PowerConnect B-DCX-4S WWN is initially set by the factory to match the license ID (which is based on the chassis serial number).
