Solving Printer Software Problems

Troubleshooting All the lights are flashing. Possible cause You haven't removed all the packing material from the printer. An internal error may have occurred. Solution Remove the packing material, following the instructions on the Notice Sheet in the box. Turn off your printer, wait a few seconds, and turn it on again. If the lights still flash or stay on, contact EPSON as described in the Introduction. The printer has finished charging the ink cartridge, but the P power light is still flashing. Possible cause The ink cartridge clamp isn't locked down. Packing material remains in the printer. The printer needs to initialize. Solution Press down on the clamp to lock it. Remove all packing material, following the instructions on the Notice Sheet in the box. If the printer is not moving or making noise, but the light is still flashing for more than 10 minutes, turn the printer off. If the light is still flashing when you turn it back on, contact EPSON as described in the Introduction. Solving Printer Software Problems If you have trouble with your printer software, first check that your printer is selected as the default Windows printer or as the current printer in the Macintosh Chooser; see the Setup Guide for instructions. If you still have problems with your printer software, check the following solutions. The printer software installed with Windows 3.1 doesn't work correctly after you upgrade to Windows 95. Possible cause Your printer software is not set up correctly for Windows 95. Solution After installing Windows 95, uninstall the printer software as described on page 7-20, then reinstall the printer software, as described in the Setup Guide. 7-10

Solving Printer Software Problems
If you have trouble with your printer software, first check that
your printer is selected as the default Windows printer or as the
current printer in the Macintosh Chooser; see the
Setup Guide
for instructions.
If you still have problems with your printer software, check the
following solutions.
The printer software installed with Windows 3.1 doesn’t work correctly
after you upgrade to Windows 95.

Solution
