HP Jetdirect printer installer for UNIX The HP Jetdirect Printer Installer for UNIX supports HP-UX and Solaris systems. The software installs, configures, and provides diagnostics capabilities for HP printers connected to TCP/IPv4 networks using full-featured HP Jetdirect print servers. HP Web Jetadmin HP Web Jetadmin is an enterprise management tool for remotely installing, configuring, and managing a wide variety of HP and non-HP network printing devices using a standard Web browser. Use HP Web Jetadmin to proactively manage both individual or groups of devices. HP Web Jetadmin supports devices that contain standard printer MIB objects for common management. Because it is well-integrated with HP Jetdirect print servers and HP printers, HP Web Jetadmin can provide enhanced management features. To use HP Web Jetadmin, see the online help and documentation supplied with the software. System requirements HP Web Jetadmin software runs on Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, and selected Linux (Fedora Core and SuSE Linux) systems. For information on supported operating systems, clients, and compatible browser versions, visit HP online support at: http://www.hp.com/go/webjetadmin. NOTE: When HP Web Jetadmin is installed on a supported host server, you can gain access to it from any client through a compatible Web browser (browse to the HP Web Jetadmin host). This allows printer installation and management on Novell NetWare and other networks. Install HP Web Jetadmin software To install HP Web Jetadmin software, use the following steps: 1. Verify that you have administrator privileges on the local system. 2. Download the installation files from HP online at: http://www.hp.com/go/webjetadmin. 3.
