SET MODE 12 ■ Others set mode (continued) FM SPLIT Offset(HF) Sets the offset (difference between transmit and receive frequencies) for the quick split function. This setting is used for HF bands in FM mode only and is used to input the repeater offset for an HF band. The offset frequency can be set from -9.999 MHz to +9.999 MHz in 1 kHz steps. (default: -0.100 MHz) -0.100MHz FM SPLIT Offset(50M) Sets the offset (difference between transmit and receive frequencies) for the quick split function. This setting is used for 50 MHz band FM mode only, and is used to input the repeater offset for the 50 MHz band. The offset frequency can be set from -9.999 MHz to +9.999 MHz in 1 kHz steps. (default: -0.500 MHz) -0.500MHz SPLIT LOCK When this item is ON, the main dial can be used to adjust the transmit frequency while pushing [XFC] even while the lock function is activated. (default: OFF) See pgs. 6-6, 6-7 for split frequency operation details. OFF Tuner (Auto Start) The internal antenna tuner has an automatic start capability which starts tuning if the SWR is higher than 1.5-3:1. OFF • OFF : The tuner remains OFF even when the SWR is poor (1.5-3:1). (default) • ON : Automatic tune starts even when the tuner is turned OFF during HF bands operation. Tuner (PTT Start) Tuning of the internal antenna tuner can be started automatically at the moment the PTT is pushed after the operating frequency is changed (more than 1% from last-tuned frequency). (default: OFF) OFF 12-13
