3 BASIC OPERATIONS ■ Selecting VFO/memory mode V/M ➥ Push V/M to switch between VFO and memory modes. • " VFO-A " or " VFO-B " appears when in VFO mode, or the selected memory channel number appears when in memory mode. • Pushing and holding V/M for 1 sec. transfers the contents of the selected memory channel to VFO. (p. 8-4) "VFO" indicator Memory channel number ■ VFO selection D Selecting VFO-A/VFO-B VFO is an abbreviation of Variable Frequency Oscillator, and is commonly referred to as a main tuning function. The main dial is often called the "VFO knob." ➥ In VFO mode, push A/B to toggle VFO-A and VFO-B. • " VFO-A " or " VFO-B " appears when VFO-A or VFO-B is selected, respectively D VFO equalization A/B ➥ In VFO mode, push and hold A=B for 1 sec. to set the undisplayed VFO frequency and mode to those of the displayed VFO. • Three beeps sound when the VFO equalization is completed.
