4. Tap on a route box to highlight it, then tap Go. 5. Follow both the on-screen and audio directions. Browser Open the browser to start surfing the web. The browser is fully optimized and comes with advanced functionality to enhance the Internet browsing feature on your phone. For more information, refer to "Web" on page 126. Calculator With this feature, you can use the phone as a scientific calculator. In portrait mode, the calculator provides the basic arithmetic functions; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. In landscape mode, you can use the calculator as a scientific calculator which enables you to calculate complex expressions such as trigonometric functions, exponents, logarithms, absolute values, and more. 1. From the Home screen, tap ➔ Calculator . 2. Hold the phone in portrait mode to use the basic calculator or turn the phone to landscape mode to use the scientific calculator. 3. Enter the first number using the on-screen numeric keys. 4. Enter the operation for your calculation by tapping the corresponding on-screen arithmetic or scientific function key. 5. Enter the second number. 6. To view the result, tap equals (=). 7. To view calculator history, tap located at the top of the calculator buttons. A history of your past calculations is displayed. 8. To clear the calculator history, press Calendar ➔ Clear history. With the Calendar feature, you can consult the calendar by day, week, or month, create events, and set an alarm to act as a reminder, if necessary. To access the Calendar: 1. From the Home screen, tap ➔ Calendar . 2. The following options are available: • Month: the calendar displays the selected month with today's date highlighted. At the bottom of the calendar, scheduled events display in the order that they occur. • Week: the calendar displays the selected week with today's time and date highlighted. Applications 146
