SETTING] key This is used to switch between memory transmission and direct transmission, and to switch between automatic reception and manual reception. (p.89) (18) [SPEED] key This is used to dial by Speed dialing. (p.83) (19) [FAX STATUS] key This is used to cancel a fax transmission or a stored fax transmission. (p.93) (20) [SPEAKER] key This is used to dial without lifting an extension phone connected to the machine. (p.83) (21) [REDIAL/PAUSE] key This is used to redial the last number dialed, and enter a pause when entering a fax number. (p.83, p.85) (22) [COLOR START] key / indicator Press this key to copy or scan an original in color. This key cannot be used for fax. (23) [BLACK & WHITE START] key / indicator Press this key to copy or scan an original in black and white. This key is also used to send a fax in fax mode. (24) [LOGOUT] key Press this key to log out after you have logged in and used the machine. When using the fax function, this key can also be pressed to send tone signals on a pulse dial line. (25) Numeric keys Enter characters/numbers. (26) [READ-END] key When copying in sort mode from the document glass, press this key when you have finished scanning the original pages and are ready to start copying. (27) [CA] key Clears all selected settings and returns the machine to the default settings. (p.15) (28) [STOP] key Press this key to stop a copy job or scanning of an original. (29) FAX mode indicators • LINE indicator Lights up when a fax is being sent or received. • DATA indicator Blinks when a fax cannot be printed because there is no paper or otherwise. Lights steadily when there is an unsent fax. (30) Printer mode indicators • ONLINE indicator Print data can be received when this lamp is lit. • DATA indicator Blinks when print data is being received. Lights steadily during printing.
