Encore reads these markers as chapter points when you export the sequence to Encore using File > Adobe Dynamic Link > Send To Encore. In Encore, you can link chapter points to buttons in menus. Also, viewers can use the chapter advance buttons on their DVD remote controls to navigate through chapter points. Premiere Pro automatically places an Encore chapter marker, labeled Chapter 1, at the beginning of each sequence you create. You can rename this chapter marker in Encore. You can name Encore markers as you place them. The name you enter in Premiere Pro appears as the label for a button in the main menu or scenes menu in Adobe Encore. Note: Encore no longer imports Premiere Pro sequence markers as chapter points. For projects created with earlier versions of Premiere Pro, replace sequence markers with Encore chapter markers if you want to retain those chapter points in discs made from the project. 1 In a Timeline panel, move the current-time indicator to the location where you want to set the marker. Note: In Encore, the Play button on each main menu template automatically links to the start point of the time ruler. You need not place a marker there unless you want it listed in the scenes menu. 2 Click the Set Encore Chapter Marker button . To quickly place a marker, right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac OS) in the time ruler. Choose the type of marker you want to set at the current-time indicator. 3 In the time ruler, double-click the Encore Chapter Marker you created. The Marker dialog box opens. 4 Type a name for the marker. Keep the name short so that it fits in the menu and does not overlap another button. (You can adjust the name later, in Encore.) 5 Click OK. Add Encore chapter markers
You can add Encore chapter markers to any sequence in Premiere Pro. Encore reads these markers as chapter points
