Riser card and Remote Supervisor Adapter (system management board) This section contains information about removing and replacing the riser card and Remote Supervisor Adapter, and shows the locations of items on the Remote Supervisor Adapter and Remote Supervisor Adapter II-EXA. Attention: To replace the Remote Supervisor Adapter with the Remote Supervisor Adapter II-EXA, follow the procedures in the IBM xSeries 445 Remote Supervisor Adapter II-EXA Installation Guide on the Documentation CD. Failure to do so will result in damage to internal components. Remote Supervisor Adapter component locations The server may contain either a Remote Supervisor Adapter or a Remote Supervisor Adapter II-EXA. The connectors and LEDs on the two types of adapter are described below.
