Service Processor message FRU/action Power supply x DC good fault 1. If System Power Present indicator (see "Center plane connectors, jumpers and LEDs" on page 159) is OFF: a. Power backplane b. Power supplies 2. If System Power Present indicator is ON, suspect shorting components; reduce the system to its minimum configuration (see "Undetermined problems" on page 246) and replace components one at a time to isolate fault. Power supply x fan fault Power supply Power supply x temperature fault 1. Verify that the system fan air intake areas are clear and well ventilated. 2. Verify that all four system fans are installed and functioning correctly. 3. Power supply. 4. Fans 3 and 4. Primary I/O Power Fault 1. Verify that the system power present indicator is ON (see "Center plane connectors, jumpers and LEDs" on page 159). 2. If the system power present indicator is OFF: a. Power backplane b. Power supplies 3. Failing component indicated by Light Path. 4. VRMs on failing board indicated by the Light Path. Processor or VRM failed 1. Failing component indicated by Light Path 2. Verify that the VRM is firmly seated. 3. Failing microprocessor VRM. 4. Failing microprocessor. Resetting System Due to an Unrecoverable error 1. Refer to previous log entries. 2. If Light Path indicates memory error, replace failing DIMM. 3. If Light Path indicates microprocessor error: a. VRM. b. Microprocessor. 4. SMP Module. System is over recommended voltage for 3.3V PCI System is under recommended voltage for 3.3V PCI 1. Remove PCI adapters and reinstall one at a time, restarting the server each time, to isolate failing adapter. 2. PCI-X VRM. 3. PCI-X Board. 4. I/O Board VRM. 5. I/O Board. 1.
