Authentication This section includes advanced settings for authentication. Settings To enable authentication, you must first make the authentication settings. 1. Click Authentication under Management Settings on the navigation menu. The Settings page opens. 2. Click Settings button. The Authentication Settings page opens. This section includes the following items for configuration. General For Authentication, select one of Off, Local Authentication and Network Authentication from the drop-down list. Action Settings For processing unknown ID jobs, select either Permit or Reject. To configure this, go to the Job Accounting Settings page. 3. If you have selected Local Authentication in General in step 2 above, switch Local Authorization On or Off. If you have selected Network Authentication in General in step 2 above, configure the following settings. 1. Configure the Network Authentication Server. Host Name: Enter the host name of the network authentication server. If you use the host name, you must first specify the DNS server information.
