If you wish to include a check digit, enter the ASCII character @ (64 Dec, 40 Hex) at the end of the data. EAN 13 Bar Code Commands EAN 13 encodes 13 digits and contains the same number of bars as UPC A. The thirteenth digit combined with the twelfth digit provides a code representing a country.
