If none of the retries is successful, the adjacency is reset to the IDLE state and the IDLE hold timer is started. BGP skips the retries and transitions to IDLE state if TCP returns an error, such as destination unreachable, on a connection attempt. Issue this command in Peer Template Configuration Mode to add it to a peer template.
