5000 Series Layer 2/3 Managed Data Center Switch CLI Reference Guide Command Mode User EXEC Port Mirroring Port mirroring (port monitoring) selects network traffic that you can analyze with a network analyzer, such as a SwitchProbe device or other Remote Monitoring (RMON) probe. 5-404 monitor session source Configure the source interface for a selected monitor session. Use the source interface slot/port parameter to specify the interface to monitor. Rx monitors only ingress packets while tx monitors only egress packets. If {rx | tx} options are not specified, the destination port monitors both ingress and egress packets. Note: The source and destination cannot be configured as remote on the same device.
