IPv4 Routing Commands This section describes the following routing commands available in the D-LINK OS CLI: Address Resolution Protocol Commands This section describes the commands to configure Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) and view ARP information. ARP associates IP and MAC addresses then stores the information as ARP entries in the ARP cache. 7-1 arp Create an ARP entity for the specified virtual router instance (vrf vrf-name). A static ARP entity is created in the default router when a virtual router is not specified. The ipaddress value is the IP address of a device on a subnet attached to an existing routing interface. The parametermacaddr is the unicast MAC address for that device. The next hop interface is determined by the interface parameter. No command deletes an ARP entry in the specified virtual router. The value for arp entry is the IP address of the interface. The ipaddress value is the IP address of a device on a subnet attached to an existing routing interface. Command Mode Global Config (Optional) Indicates a VPN Routing/Forwarding instance name. Configure IP address for a static ARP entry. Configure MAC address for a static ARP entry. Enter an interface in slot/port format. Enter an interface in VLAN format. 7-2 arp cachesize Configure the ARP cache size; the value is a platform specific integer value.
