In Manual mode, make sure the exposure setting is Auto Exposure. You can choose from 21 settings in increments of 0.2, from −2.0 to +2.0 EV. Viewfinder LCD Screen The setting appears in the status display panel next to the +/- icon and remains in effect while you take pictures. Setting Shutter Speed and Aperture Experienced photographers can set the exposure manually by adjusting the shutter speed and aperture settings. NOTE To set the aperture setting and let your camera automatically determine the shutter speed, you can use the Aperture Priority settings; see page 5-4. Follow these steps to adjust the settings: 1 Make sure that the camera is set to Manual user mode.
