Epson SureColor T-Series User's Guide Using the Control Panel Menu Item Custom Paper Setting XXXXXXXXXXX (name of custom paper type) Select Reference Paper Platen Gap Detect Paper Thickness Description Plain Paper Photo Paper You can select the media type that is the closest to the paper you are using. Matte Paper Others No Paper Selected Select this option if you do not wish to specify the paper type. Narrow Standard* Wide Wider Select the platen gap, which is the distance between the print head and the paper. Normally, select Standard. Select a wider setting if printed images are smeared. If, upon performing head alignment, you feel that it is still not completely aligned, select Narrow. Press the Z button to print a pattern to determine the thickness of the current paper. Select the pattern number with the least misalignment from the print results. 135
