Power consumption and cooling The power consumptions listed in Table 12 are valid for a standard configuration as shipped (one 1.46 GHz quad-core CPU, 4 GB of memory, one 1200 W power supply, one SAS disk drive, and one SATA DVD+RW drive). All information in this section is based on primary power consumptions with one power supply installed. Operating temperature and humidity ranges may vary depending on the installed mass storage devices. High humidity levels can cause improper disk operation. Low humidity levels can aggravate static electricity problems and cause excessive wear of the disk surface. Temperature, humidity, and sound power levels are provided in Table 13.
