CD-ROM Electrical Safety Statement - United States WARNING To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture. To avoid electrical shock, do not open the cabinet. Refer servicing to qualified personnel only. CD-ROM Laser Safety Statements - United States CAUTION This CD-ROM mass storage system contains a laser system and is classified as a "Class-1 Laser Product" under a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Radiation Performance standard according to the Radiation Control for Health and Safety Act of 1968. To ensure proper use of this product, please read this instruction manual carefully and retain for future reference. Should the unit ever require maintenance, contact an authorized service location. Use of controls, adjustments or the performance procedures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure. To prevent direct exposure to laser beam, do not try to open the enclosure. 177
