Chapter 6 Installing Additional Boards For current PCI Hot Plug information regarding NOS support and the availability of PCI Hot Plug compliant drivers, search for PCI Hot Plug on HP's web site at: http://www.hp.com/netserver/products/lxr8500 To access the PCI Hot Plug Replacement procedures in Information Assistant for the respective NOS, you must have the HP NetServer Online Documentation CD-ROM provided with the HP NetServer LXr 8500. To view the respective Hot Plug Replacement (NOS) procedures, perform the following steps. 1. Insert the HP NetServer Online Documentation CD-ROM into a CD-ROM drive. 2. Select HP NetServers L-Series button. 3. Scroll down to and select HP NetServer LXr 8500 in the list. 4. Select Install. 5. Select Installing Accessory Boards. 6. Select the appropriate Hot Plug Replacement (NOS) topic. The procedures for powering off/on the slot and removing/replacing the PCI board are included in this section. For more information about accessing and using the HP NetServer Online Documentation CD-ROM and Information Assistant, refer to Chapter 11, "Information Assistant."
