Table 2-10 Jetdirect menus (continued) Menu item Sub-menu item IPV6 Settings Sub-menu item Default IP Primary DNS Secondary DNS Enable Address DHCPV6 Policy Primary DNS Manual Settings Values and Description Specify the IP address to default to when the print server is unable to obtain an IP address from the network during a forced TCP/IP reconfiguration (for example, when manually configured to use BootP or DHCP). Auto IP: A link-local IP address 169.254.x.x is set. Legacy: The address 192.0.0.192 is set, consistent with older HP Jetdirect devices. Specify the IP address (n.n.n.n) of a Primary DNS Server. Specify the IP address (n.n.n.n) of a Secondary Domain Name System (DNS) Server. Use this item to enable or disable IPv6 operation on the print server. Off (default): IPv6 is disabled. On: IPv6 is enabled. Use this item to manually configure an IPv6 address. Manual Settings: Use the Manual Settings menu to enable and manually configure a TCP/ IPv6 address. Router Specified: The stateful auto-configuration method to be used by the print server is determined by a router. The router specifies whether the print server obtains its address, its configuration information, or both from a DHCPv6 server. Router Unavailable: If a router is not available, the print server should attempt to obtain its stateful configuration from a DHCPv6 server. Always: Whether or not a router is available, the print server always attempts to obtain its stateful configuration from a DHCPv6 server. Use this item to specify an IPv6 address for a primary DNS server that the print server should use. Use this item to manually set IPv6 addresses on the print server. Enable: Select this item and choose On to enable manual configuration, or Off to disable manual configuration.
