Using Paper Catalog > About Paper Catalog About Paper Catalog Paper Catalog is a data base for paper that lets you associate and save the attributes of each paper brand. The basic characteristics of each paper brand (Paper Entry) are registered in Paper Catalog. By specifying a paper brand registered in Paper Catalog for a paper source, you can print in accordance with the basic characteristics (size, weight, coating, etc.) of that paper brand. If the paper you want to use is included in Paper Catalog, you can omit the task of selecting settings such as the paper size, type, weight, and so-on. In addition, for paper with the same basic characteristics but also characteristics that vary by brand, you can adjust machine parameters such as the distance between heads and edge timing correction for each paper brand. To use a paper brand registered in Paper Catalog, after loading the paper you will need to associate the paper cassette with the paper from the machine's Operation Panel or Command Center RX. Paper Catalog consists of the Master Paper Catalog (not editable) and the User Paper Catalog (editable). The Master Paper Catalog is prepared and provided by Kyocera. The User Paper Catalog consists of basic characteristics from the Master Paper Catalog that have been added and edited using Fiery Controller. The Paper Entries in Paper Catalog consist of two groups of parameters (paper characteristics and machine adjustments). Paper characteristic parameters Basic information Size, basis weight, grain long/short paper Performance information With or without coat The characteristics of the paper. These are adjusted using Fiery Controller. Machine adjustment parameters Edge timing adjustment Resist loop amount setting Curl adjustment control Speed adjustment Machine adjustment parameters for each paper.
