Paper Handling > Loading Paper IMPORTANT • Remove the paper from its packaging and load immediately before use. • After removing new paper from its packaging, fan the paper before loading it in the cassette. Precautions on Paper (page 7-8) • Load the paper with the print side facing up. • Align the edges of the paper before loading it. • To evenly align the widths and lengths of the paper, load only the top 5 to 10 mm of the stack. After adjusting the paper width in the following step, add the paper required for printing. • Load the paper so that both ends rest on the auxiliary plate of the paper width guide. • The stack must not be higher than the limit mark. • When adding paper, remove the top and bottom sheets after opening the packaging to prevent double-feeding. • When loading paper which weight is Heavy 4 to 6 (221 to 360 g/m2) in the cassette, attach the magnet sheet included in the paper feeder to the length guide of the cassette. • Push both corners at the bottom of the magnet plate against the metal plates strongly. • Make sure that the top of the magnet sheet does not obstruct the opening in the length guide. 7-35
